Our blogs will share and interpret in a balanced and well-reasoned manner the most impactful news for certain industries (nicotine and cannabis in particular, but also other relevant adjacencies, such as pharma developments), as well as information regarding legal, compliance and business strategy that we believe our partners and potential future partners would appreciate.

I will be attending the invite-only Arcview “Invest in Cannabis Companies” Event for Institutional & Accredited Investors at the Fairmont Miramar in Santa Monica, CA from February 5-8  http://events.arcviewgroup.com/ . Hope to see some of you there, and glad to introduce myself in person.

It’s not too early to book your spot for the ENDS 2019 event in Central London, June 4-6, 2019 https://www.ends-conference.com/ . The conference will provide a fresh look at scientific, commercial and regulatory aspects relevant to ENDS products, covering everything from the latest regulations (including TPD and Brexit developments) and the latest research, to testing methods, product standards, product design, harm reduction and much more. Over 120 attendees from testing companies, tobacco companies, ENDS/E-Liquid manufacturers, ingredients makers, regulatory and legislator bodies, law firms and more were in attendance at last year’s event.  Attendees included representatives from British American Tobacco, Philip Morris International, Japan Tobacco International, Nicopure Labs, CORESTA, MHRA, UKVIA, Totally Wicked, INNCO, Imperial Brands, Fontem Ventures, Nerudia, IBVTA, E-Liquid Brands. Bonus points: the conference will be held next to the Marble Arch, on the edge of Mayfair and Hyde Park, and not too, too far from the home of my beloved Arsenal  –  Emirates Stadium or from the coolest department store ever, Liberty London. (Not that you would need me to sell you on the concept that London is one of the most amazing cities on earth.)

Last, but equally important, on January 16, 2019, the Smoke-Free Alternatives Trade Association (SFATA) entrusted me with a webinar on “FDA Regulatory Authority over CBD-Containing Products and the Impact of Recent Hemp Legislation in the United States”.  A replay will be available through SFATA’s Facebook website or at www.sfata.org
